A socket conversion kit for the HEATKILLER® CPU 3.0 water block (Rev3.0): stainless steel mounting plates that let the block mount on Intel socket 1150, 1151, 1155, 1156 and 1200. The Watercool Conversion Material HEATKILLER® CPU 3.0-Series 1155/1156/1150/1151 is compatible with all editions of that block.

What the kit does
The kit allows the conversion of a HEATKILLER CPU 3.0 for use on the current Intel mainstream sockets. All mounting elements necessary for the swap are included with the manual.
How the conversion works
The base plate comes off first: loosen the 6 hex socket screws (SW 2.0) on the underside of the block. Then undo the 4 grub screws in the corners, using the SW 1.5 allen wrench that comes with the conversion kit, and pull out the old mounts. Fit the new ones with the shiny stainless steel side facing the connection side of the block, retighten the grub screws and put the base plate back on.
Before the base plate goes back, check that the jet plate (Watercool calls it the die plate) and the o-ring sit correctly. A jet plate that tilts can damage the base plate beyond repair. If the o-ring needs replacing, the Replacement O-Rings HEATKILLER® CPU Rev.3.0 fit this block.
Mounting on the socket
The motherboard has to come out for the first installation only. Tighten the four spacers with a size 7 ring wrench, then fit each M4x25 screw with a pressure spring and turn all four in evenly, crosswise and without force. Watercool recommends a contact pressure of 200 N. Its spring pressure table gives the screw-in depth (X) for Intel sockets as 19.6 at 200 N, measured with a caliper from the top of the screw to the top of the fastener. A backplate for socket 1155/1156/1150 is optionally available from Watercool.
