The bolts the big Intel sockets need
A HEATKILLER IV fits the smaller Intel sockets out of the box, while 2011, 2011-3 and 2066 take additional bolts. This kit supplies them, with all fasteners necessary included in the scope of delivery. With it a block can be converted in one go, and the plates are made of stainless steel.
Socket compatibility
The conversion covers the three sockets listed below.
- INTEL LGA-2011
- INTEL LGA-2011-3
- INTEL LGA-2066
What you need to mount it
You need a HEATKILLER IV block to convert. Blocks for Intel are in our Intel CPU Blocks category, and other brackets are under Mounting Hardware.
Notes
- On 2011, 2011-3 and 2066 no plastic washer goes between stud and mainboard; the metal washer between spring and mounting bracket stays.
- Tighten the studs and knurled nuts evenly and crosswise, so the contact pressure follows the CPU maker's specifications.
In the box
- 2x Holding plate made of stainless steel
- 1x assembly material
- 1x assembly instructions
Watercool's assembly instructions cover every HEATKILLER IV CPU block and have their own section on installing it on sockets 2011, 2011-3 and 2066.
