Dual cold plate design
At the heart of the block is a massive dual copper cold plate assembly, with dedicated cooling for the GPU, VRAM, and VRM components. The GPU core cold plate features an ultra-high-performance microfin structure that is extremely fine: 0.2mm fin width, 0.2mm channel width, and 2.5mm fin height. This structure provides over 13,400mm² of cooling surface area, allowing coolant to efficiently remove heat from the GPU core. Thermal Grizzly says that holds under even the most demanding workloads.
A separate full-size copper cold plate, weighing over 900 grams, cools the VRAM and power delivery components. It is precision-machined for optimal contact and heat transfer. Both cold plates are CNC machined, precision blasted and nickel plated, and they are never produced using the skiving process. Thermal Grizzly presents that as ensuring exceptional manufacturing quality and long-term durability.
Glass window and ARGB lighting
The black anodized aluminum housing incorporates a Schott BOROFLOAT® glass viewing window, illuminated by 14 addressable RGB LEDs. The integrated 14-LED lighting is 5V ARGB. Unlike acrylic, this glass offers superior scratch resistance, UV resistance, and chemical durability. Its edges are hand-polished, producing a lighting effect that Thermal Grizzly calls unique, thanks to those edges.
Terminal and fittings
The included brass Direct Terminal comes pre-installed and provides standard front-facing G1/4" inlet and outlet ports. With two ports, the block takes two compression fittings, such as the DeltaMate 16/10. For additional routing flexibility, an optional Through Terminal is available separately.
"The Oracle" and installation
Installation is further simplified by the included spacer PCB, "The Oracle". This precision-matched installation template helps verify proper alignment before disassembly, and it identifies screw and thermal pad locations during installation. It even assists with reassembling the factory cooler if that is needed later.
Thermal Grizzly includes everything needed for installation with the block, to ensure maximum cooling performance, including Duronaut thermal paste, Minus Pad Advance thermal pads, Putty Advance, application tools, mounting hardware, and hex keys.
