What it does
DeltaMate Extender Fittings are water cooling connectors for a custom water cooling loop, designed for its individual components. The DeltaMate Extender - MF28 features one G1/4″ male thread on one end and one G1/4″ female thread on the other. Used as an extension fitting, it’s installed between the water-cooling component’s port and the fitting, increasing the spacing between the two by 28 mm. It is a practical fixed length extender to increase the spacing between ports and fittings. Builders commonly use this length to add clearance for memory modules and fans, or to run two parallel tubes in the same plane.
Note: Maximum thread depth 4.5mm!
Material and finish
As expected from Thermal Grizzly quality, the extender fittings are precisely machined from brass, an alloy of copper and zinc. Brass offers the advantage of being anodically compatible with other metals while being harder and more corrosion-resistant than copper. This version is finished with a glossy nickel plating that’s both easy to clean and, in Thermal Grizzly's words, premium in appearance.
General information
The sealing rings (O-rings) are made from EPDM (ethylene propylene diene rubber), a highly elastic material which is resistant to ozone and UV radiation. The robust design of the fitting allows for installation using an 8mm hex key. All DeltaMate fittings share a uniform, consistent outer diameter, which ensures what Thermal Grizzly calls completely seamless integration of individual components.
