What it does
DeltaMate Extender Fittings are water cooling connectors for a custom water cooling loop, designed for its individual components. The DeltaMate Extender - MF10 features one G1/4″ male thread on one end and one G1/4″ female thread on the other. Used as an extension fitting, it’s installed between the water-cooling component’s port and the fitting, increasing the spacing between the two by 10 mm. The property list for this fitting gives the same figure as 10.5mm. It is a practical fixed length extender to increase the spacing between ports and fittings. Combined with a DeltaMate Rotary, it can also be used to create a direct replacement for conventional rotary fittings.
Note: Maximum thread depth 4.5mm!
Material and finish
As expected from Thermal Grizzly quality, the extender fittings are precisely machined from brass, an alloy of copper and zinc. Brass offers the advantage of being anodically compatible with other metals while being harder and more corrosion-resistant than copper. This version is finished with a glossy nickel plating that’s both easy to clean and, in Thermal Grizzly's words, premium in appearance.
General information
The sealing rings (O-rings) are made from EPDM (ethylene propylene diene rubber), a highly elastic material which is resistant to ozone and UV radiation. The robust design of the fitting allows for installation using an 8mm hex key. All DeltaMate fittings share a uniform, consistent outer diameter, which ensures what Thermal Grizzly calls completely seamless integration of individual components.
