Where it goes
The MF10 features one G1/4" male thread on one end and one G1/4" female thread on the other. Used as an extension fitting, it's installed between the water-cooling component's port and the fitting, increasing the gap by a fixed length. Thermal Grizzly's description gives the increase as 10 mm, while its properties list and data sheet call it a practical way to increase the spacing between ports and fittings by 10.5mm. It can be combined with a DeltaMate Rotary, such as the 90° version, to create a direct replacement for conventional rotary fittings. Thermal Grizzly notes a maximum thread depth of 4.5 mm.
General information
Thermal Grizzly designed its DeltaMate Extender Fittings as water cooling connectors for the individual components of a custom water cooling loop. As expected from Thermal Grizzly quality, to use the maker's phrase, each extender is precisely machined from brass. Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc. It offers the advantage of being anodically compatible with other metals while being harder and more corrosion-resistant than copper. The sealing rings (O-rings) are made from EPDM (ethylene propylene diene rubber), which is highly elastic and resistant to ozone and UV radiation. The extender is finished with a matt nickel plating that's both easy to clean and, in Thermal Grizzly's words, premium in appearance.
Installation
The robust design allows for installation using an 8 mm hex key. The outer diameter is uniform and consistent with all DeltaMate fittings, which Thermal Grizzly says ensures completely seamless integration of individual components.
