Power Supplies
The Power Supply or PSU as it is normally known is one of the most important parts of any PC. We offer power supplies ranging between 400W to well over 1000W for every modder's individual needs.
If you are Liquid Cooling your computer, We recommend using at least a 750W PSU to power all of your internal components correctly.
If you are employing multiple Graphics Cards in your PC and are planning to liquid cool your system; we recommend using at least a 1000W PSU to power all of your components.
There are three main styles of Power Supply cable sets.
- Modular PSUs have cables that can be unplugged from the PSU unit so you only have to plug in the specific cables you need for your system. Modular PSUs are generally considered to be the easiest to sleeve and wire manage.
- Semi-Modular PSUs have some cables that can be unplugged from the PSU unit while others such as the 24-Pin and EPS cables are rooted to the PSU unit.
- Non-Modular PSUs have a cable set that is entirely rooted to the PSU unit and cannot be unplugged.
PLEASE NOTE:
Not all PSU cable sets are the same. Most PSU manufacturers utilize proprietary cable sets for each of their different PSU models. Using a cable set that wasn't designed for your model of PSU can and most likely will result in damage to your PSU, damage to your internal components and or fire.
Remember: Fire in your PC is bad. You wan't to avoid it if at all possible.
