The Aquacomputer Backplate for Kryographics NEXT RTX 3080 Strix / RTX 3090 Strix - Passive is a passive GPU backplate for ASUS ROG Strix RTX 3080 and RTX 3090 graphics cards. It goes on a card that already carries the matching kryographics Strix water block, and it is made for use with a kryographics block only.

Stability and cooling on the back of the card
Manufactured from massive aluminum, the plate can be mounted in addition to the water block, giving the card additional stability. That matters especially in the voltage regulator area of the graphics card, where the plate also ensures optimum heat dissipation. Additionally, the RAM modules on the back of the RTX 3090 Strix are cooled effectively. The finish is anodized in black color.
Installation
Eight screws come out of the card at the mounting holes of the plate. The thicker thermally conductive pads go onto the marked areas of the plate. Only on 3090 cards, pieces cut from the thinner pads also go under the plate on further marked areas; on 3080 cards those stay bare. The plate is then fastened with screws from the scope of delivery: four M2.5 x 8 mm and four M2.5 x 10 mm countersunk screws.
Compatibility
Please check compatibility using the PDF from Aqua Computer, linked with the documents at the end of this page. It names the ROG Strix cards by part number, each with its type of approval (complete check or optical inspection). Card makers can change their boards without notice, so Aquacomputer gives the list without liability.
What the card needs
Please note: graphics card and kryographics water block are not included in delivery, so order them separately. The water blocks we carry for these cards are in our NVIDIA RTX 3090(Ti)/3080(Ti) section.
