Details
The Aquacomputer Aqualis XT 450mL Reservoir with Fill Level and Lighting Option (34041) is a 450 ml tube reservoir with a built-in electronic fill level sensor with USB and aquabus interface. There is no pump or pump top, and up to six 5 mm LEDs can be fitted in its base.

Borosilicate glass tube
Every aqualis series reservoir is equipped with a borosilicate glass tube, where tube reservoirs often use acrylic glass. In contrast, Aquacomputer says borosilicate glass is extremely hard and scratch-resistant and features superb thermal and chemical resistance with a very low thermal expansion. The smaller 100 ml and 150 ml variants of the series use a tube with an outer diameter of 50 mm and a wall thickness of 5 mm.
Fountain effect or lateral return
Base and top are made from Delrin. For the fountain effect, the return line is connected to the central connector and the suction line to a lateral one, with the supplied sealing screw in the unused thread. A pre-installed acrylic plate reduces air ingestion.
Without it, both lines go to the lateral connectors and the acrylic plate comes out. A deflector plate, held by two screws, is then installed above the return channel into the reservoir to effectively remove air from the water circuit. The base part also has an M6 thread, which lets a little coolant flow straight in for easier filling; a headless screw seals it.
Fill level sensor and alarm output
Additionally, this XT version carries an electronic fill level sensor (an mps pressure Δ40, with its pressure equalizing membrane installed in the top), a programmable alarm output and an external temperature sensor input. For monitoring and configuration, the aquasuite software can be downloaded free of charge.
In addition to USB, the 4-pin aquabus interface can directly connect the sensor to an aquaero 5 or 6 controller (not included in delivery), such as the aquaero 6 LT. The alarm output can be configured as an rpm signal for a fan connector with fault detection (for example motherboard fan headers), or used as a switched output to connect a LED.
Fill level and temperature input can each raise an alarm. The input is compatible with all Aqua Computer temperature sensors, for example the G1/4 temperature sensor (53067).
Lighting option
The XT variants feature an acrylic window in the base part. Up to six LEDs (5 mm size) fit under its stainless steel cover, and a cable duct leads to the side.
What the loop needs
Fittings for return and suction line come from our fittings section, and a separate pump from our pumps section. Many reservoirs are also available with pump top adapters and pumps pre-installed, and most variants with a nano coating that will cause water to roll off the inner surface of the glass.
Notes
- The top unscrews counter-clockwise and frees the glass tube; keep the gaskets, seat them in their grooves on reassembly and use moderate force, no tools.
- Without the fountain effect, two M3 x 8 mm screws refasten the acrylic window and two more hold the deflector plate.
- Two M3 x 8 mm screws fasten the stainless steel bracket to the reservoir; four more with nuts mount it to the PC. Screws in the plastic base part take light force only.
