The Aquacomputer Aqualis Base 880 mL (34051) is an 880 ml tube reservoir with a borosilicate glass tube that sits on a compatible Aquacomputer pump adapter instead of standing on its own. It holds no pump, and the adapter is sold separately.

Borosilicate glass tube
Every expansion tank of the aqualis series is equipped with a glass tube made from borosilicate. The tubes commonly used in other tube reservoirs are acrylic glass such as Plexiglas. In contrast, Aquacomputer says borosilicate glass has a very high hardness and scratch resistance, excellent thermal and chemical resistance and very low thermal expansion. This 880 ml tube has a 75 mm outer diameter and a 5 mm wall; the 100 ml and 150 ml variants use a 50 mm tube.
Bases and covers in the aqualis range are made of Delrin, and lid and base are connected by a stainless steel tube. Aquacomputer offers all variants with a nano coating as well, which makes water roll off the inside of the glass; this article is the version without it.
Built for the pump adapter
Sockets at the bottom of the base slide into a matching Aquacomputer pump adapter, and the reservoir works only in that combination. Aquacomputer pitches the BASE series as suitable for attachment on its pump adapters, for maximum modularity. This allows you to keep the reservoir through numerous builds, as long as each adapter is a compatible type.
Two G1/4 threads in the base part take up to two optional illumination modules, for example art. no. 34920 (not included in delivery).
What the loop needs
Order a compatible Aquacomputer pump adapter separately. The Aqualis D5 Pump Top (41094) is one: a pump adapter for D5 pumps, with this 880 ml reservoir (34051) on its compatibility list.

Notes
- Any connector with a larger outer diameter than the recess fits only with a suitable extension, not included in delivery.
- Unlike the main photo, the lid has four holes, each closed by a sealing screw.
- The top unscrews counter-clockwise to free the glass tube. On reassembly, seat the gaskets in their grooves and screw the top back on by hand with moderate force.
