Details
The Aquacomputer Aquainlet PRO 150 mL (34064) is a tube reservoir of approx. 150 ml designed to be mounted directly onto an aquastream XT / ULTIMATE or Eheim 1046 pump, with no pump top in between. A borosilicate glass tube sits between a Delrin base and top, and every connection thread is G1/4. Pump and fittings are not included.

Made to sit on the pump
Aquacomputer says the design is perfectly matched to the pump, so that after installation pump and reservoir form a virtually seamless unit. In particular, the pump's mounting rails are extended into the reservoir. According to Aquacomputer, this allows the mounting plate to be installed beneath the center of gravity for the first time. That is especially helpful when using rubber decouplers or a shoggy sandwich.
The reservoir goes onto the suction port of the pump. There an o-ring seals the connection between pump and reservoir, while two latches secure the reservoir to the pump housing. The latches also hold the bayonet coupling between pump cover and pump housing, preventing its accidental release.
For the return line, the base has two connection threads, one located at the front and one on the side of the unit. The two threads allow flexible installation options, which is particularly useful if the reservoir has to fit into limited space.
Borosilicate glass tube
The aquainlet PRO and aquainlet XT are closely related to the aqualis series, and they are also equipped with a borosilicate glass tube. Acrylic glass is often used for tube reservoirs. In contrast, borosilicate glass is extremely hard and scratch-resistant, and it features superb thermal and chemical resistance along with a very low thermal expansion. The tube on this reservoir has an outer diameter of 50 mm and a wall thickness of 5 mm. Its base and top are made from Delrin, connected by a stainless steel rod.
All variants are also available with a nano coating, which will cause water to roll off the inner surface of the glass tube. This version is the one without it.
The aquainlet XT variants
The PRO is the plain reservoir. The XT variants feature an acrylic window in the base part, and one LED (5 mm size) can be installed into the base part. Additionally, they carry an electronic fill level sensor with USB and aquabus interface, a programmable alarm output and an external temperature sensor input. Their aquasuite software for monitoring and configuration can be downloaded free of charge.
In addition to the USB interface, the 4-pin aquabus interface on the XT can directly connect the fill level sensor to an aquaero 5/6 controller (not included in delivery). Its alarm output can be configured as a rpm signal for a fan connector with fault detection (for example motherboard fan headers). It can also be used as a switched output, for example to connect a LED. Fill level and external temperature sensor input can both be set to raise an alarm, and that input is compatible with all Aqua Computer temperature sensors.
What the loop needs
You need the pump itself: an aquastream XT / ULTIMATE or an Eheim 1046, found in our Eheim pumps section. Connect the return line to one of the two connectors in the base and seal the other one with a sealing plug supplied with the reservoir. The pressure line connects directly to the pressure port of the pump, which may require an additional connection adapter (not included in delivery). Fittings are ordered separately; see our fittings section.
Compatibility
Aquacomputer lists the reservoir as compatible with the following pumps:
- aquastream XT / ULTIMATE
- Eheim 1046 and pumps identical in construction
Technical details
| Dimensions without pump | approx. 56 x 67 x 198 mm |
| Filling volume | approx. 150 ml |
| Connection threads | G1/4 |
| Recess around connection threads of the base part | diameter 26 mm, depth 4 mm (front) / 10 mm (side) |
| Recess around connection threads of the lid | diameter 23 mm, depth 3 mm |
Notes
- Connectors with a larger outer diameter than these recesses can only be installed with suitable extensions, such as our male to female extension fittings (not included in delivery).
- Before fitting, remove the silver suction grille from the suction side of the pump, and any connection adapters if installed. Then slide the reservoir onto the suction port until it locks into the pump housing.
- A little water or glycerin on the seal inside the reservoir makes that easier.
- To take the reservoir apart, turn the top counter-clockwise; the glass tube then comes out easily. Take care not to lose the gaskets.
- For reassembly, place the gaskets into the grooves, check they are properly aligned in top and base part, and screw the top on without any tools and with moderate force only.
In the box
- 1x Reservoir / Top Combo: one aquainlet PRO 150 ml reservoir
- Hardware and Accessories: three sealing screws G1/4 (preinstalled)
Aquacomputer's installation manual for the aquainlet 100/150 PRO/XT shows how to fit the reservoir to the pump, take it apart and connect it to the loop.
