The Alphacool Tube EPDM 5/3 - Black 1m (3.28ft) Retailbox is a matte black EPDM rubber hose for water cooling with a 3 mm inner and 5 mm outer diameter. One retail box holds 1 m. It comes from Alphacool's Enterprise Solutions series.

Advantage of EPDM
Alphacool says the tube is particularly durable compared to conventional PVC tubes, due to its high resistance to acids, bases (alkalis) and external influences. Compared to commercially available PVC hoses it is also more temperature-resistant and, according to Alphacool, manages working temperatures well above 100 °C. Even at higher water temperatures the hose remains dimensionally stable, which prevents distortion in places with tighter bending radii or at connections. Alphacool says this eliminates the risk of leaks or of a restricted water flow, and that the same resistance makes the hose long-lasting. With its subtle velvet look, Alphacool calls it an eye-catcher in every water-cooled PC.
Installation
Although it is slightly more dimensionally stable than PVC tubing, the hose still has what Alphacool describes as excellent pliability and flexibility. That is meant to allow for effortless installation even where the bend radii get tighter.
What a run needs
A run of hose takes two fittings, one at each end, from our 5/3mm compression fittings section. Alphacool states the hose is compatible with any hose fitting of appropriate size from its Eiszapfen or HF series.

Notes
- Please note: use only in conjunction with clear, transparent water cooling fluids. Alphacool warns that the particles and additives in Pastel liquids can clog and permanently damage water cooling products such as radiators, pumps, coolers and hoses. This can result in voiding the manufacturer's warranty.
