The Alphacool EPDM tube 5/3 - Black 3m (9.84ft) Retailbox is soft tubing with an outer diameter of 5 mm and an inner diameter of 3 mm, 3 m (9.84 ft) in the pack. It is made of EPDM rubber without talc, in matte black.

What is the advantage of EPDM?
The hose belongs to Alphacool's Enterprise Solutions series. Alphacool says it is characterized by its high resistance to acids, alkalis and external influences, and that it has exceptional longevity compared to conventional PVC tubes. Against commercially available PVC tubing, the maker rates it significantly more temperature resistant, a tube that enables working temperatures far above 100 °C. Even when the water runs at higher temperatures it remains dimensionally stable, which prevents warping at points with tighter bending radii or at connections. Alphacool's conclusion is that the risk of the water loop leaking, or of the water flow being obstructed, is thus eliminated. That resistance is also what makes the tube extremely durable and long-lasting, in Alphacool's words.
Look
In matte black, the hose has a discreet velvet look. Alphacool expects it will quickly become an eye-catcher in any water-cooled PC.
Mounting
The tube is slightly more dimensionally stable than one made of PVC. Nevertheless, Alphacool credits it with an excellent pliability as well as the flexibility for an effortless assembly, tighter bends included.
What a run needs
It can be used with all tube fittings in the appropriate size from the Alphacool Eiszapfen or HF series. A run takes two 5/3 compression fittings, one at each end.

Notes
- Use the tube only with clear, transparent water cooling fluids. Alphacool warns that the particles and additives in pastel liquids can clog and permanently damage radiators, pumps, coolers and hoses, which can void the manufacturer's warranty.
