Details
The Alphacool NexXxoS XT45 Full Copper 400mm Radiator is a dual 200mm radiator: it takes two 200mm fans, is 48 mm thick overall, and its end chambers, water channels and cooling fins are copper. The thicker radiator in the same fan size is the Monsta Full Copper 400mm.

Big is Good. Bigger is Better!
"Small was yesterday" is how Alphacool puts it. With a cooling area of 40 x 20 cm, it says, the 400 mm XT radiator offers more cooling surface than a 560 mm radiator. Alphacool calls this more than enough cooling power to cool every CPU and every graphics card in a loop.
Make No Compromises, Use Copper
As usual, Alphacool also uses pure copper for the NexXxoS 400 mm XT45 Radiator. The end chambers, the water channels and the cooling fins are all made of copper, which Alphacool calls a unique selling point worldwide. As a result, it says, its radiators have been among the most popular and best on the market for many years. It sees them as providing "the perfect foundation for every water cooling system".
Full Cooling Capacity
To maximize the performance of a radiator, Alphacool says it reaches deep into its bag of tricks, with copper as the starting point. It puts the thermal conductivity of copper at 400 W/(mK) compared to 236 W/(mK) for aluminum and calls the winner clear. Alongside this is what it calls the special fin density. Alphacool describes itself as one of the oldest companies in the field of water cooling and says it has carried out countless laboratory tests. For such large radiators especially, the result is a fin spacing of 12 FPI. The air flow is then almost unobstructed, which means the air can pass through even without high pressure. However, Alphacool says, the cooling capacity does not suffer from this, on the contrary. All cooling fins have small serrations to use the airflow optimally. These are tiny flaps that guide the airflow in the desired direction and increase the surface area. In the case of radiators they are barely 1 mm high, but Alphacool says they still provide controlled air turbulence to increase cooling capacity and minimize airflow noise.
Which fans?
The radiator takes two 200 mm fans. On the mounting frame it offers space for 200 mm fans with 154 or 165 mm mounting holes. The fans are screwed onto that frame, which can also be removed for purely passive operation in order not to obstruct the natural airflow.
Connection options
The radiator offers four G1/4 threads for IN and OUT. A further G1/4 thread sits on the back of the radiator and serves as a fill port. Alternatively, Alphacool notes, a temperature sensor or a drain port can also be attached here.
What the loop needs
A loop uses two of the threads, so the radiator takes two G1/4 fittings. The threads left open are closed with the screw plugs in the box. The box also holds M3 screws in three lengths, M3x30mm, M3x5mm and M3x35mm, twelve of each, and an Allen key. The radiator carries the certificates CE, FC and RoHS.

Notes
- Use only clear, transparent water cooling fluids. Alphacool warns that the particles and additives in pastel liquids can clog and permanently damage water cooling products such as radiators, pumps, coolers and hoses. It adds that this can void the manufacturer's warranty as well.
