The V.2 series
Alphacool presents the NexXxoS V.2 radiator as the further development of the already established NexXxoS V.1 series. By its account the radiator rightly takes its place among Alphacool's high-end full copper radiators. Alphacool credits the fresh design in modern, noble white and the numerous technical details, which it says make this radiator "the perfect partner for your own water cooling system".
Uncompromising in the choice of materials
Alphacool says it is the only manufacturer worldwide to use exclusively copper for all water-bearing parts in the radiator. The pre-chambers, the cooling fins and the cooling channels are all made of pure copper. Alphacool names the only exceptions: the threaded inserts are made of brass, and the outer casing of the radiator is made of sheet steel.
Sufficient cooling capacity
To maximize the performance of the radiator, Alphacool says it reaches deep into its bag of tricks. It uses pure copper due to the high thermal conductivity of 400 W/mK (in comparison: aluminum 236 W/mK). The special fin density and fin spacing of the radiator are meant to give optimal airflow and performance. All of the cooling fins are additionally serrated. The serrations act as tiny wings that direct the airflow in the desired direction and ensure controlled air turbulence. According to Alphacool this increases the cooling capacity and minimizes possible flow noise.
Patented screw plugs
Alphacool's patented stop fittings are what all NexXxoS V.2 radiators use. Anyone who has mounted a radiator on the front or in the roof of a case is familiar with the fact behind them: protruding stop fittings can stop the radiator from sitting flush. On this radiator the stop fittings are completely recessed and sit flush with its surface, which Alphacool offers as an excellent solution. For Alphacool this means that nothing stands in the way of a clean installation. Of course, it adds, the radiators also look much more elegant with the flat stop fittings.
Plenty of connection options
All versions of the NexXxoS V.2 radiators have two options for IN and OUT on each side. A fill or vent port is on the opposite end, and it can also be used to drain the water circuit.
What the loop needs
The radiator has 5x G1/4 threads. A loop uses two of them, so the radiator takes two fittings, and the other three take the three screw plugs in the box. The manual says to remove the protective caps first and to close all threads you don't need with plugs. Two 120 mm fans fit on one side, four with both sides fitted, on M3 threads. In the manual the M3x8 screws are for case mounting, the M3x30 screws for fan mounting and the M3x35 screws for mounting a fan with a damper.
Safety first
A special protective plate in the radiator prevents fan or mounting screws from being screwed in too deeply. These plates are beneath the screw holes that are used to mount the fans to the radiator, or for mounting the radiator to the case. That protects the cooling fins and water channels underneath from damage.

Notes
- Before use, the manual says to rinse the radiator with distilled water or Alphacool Cape Kelvin Catcher, and to read the safety instructions before starting the installation.
- Use only clear, transparent water cooling fluids. Alphacool warns that the particles and additives in pastel liquids can clog and permanently damage water cooling products such as radiators, pumps, coolers and hoses. It adds that this can result in voiding the manufacturer's warranty as well.
