Details
The Alphacool NexXxoS UT60 Full Copper 120mm Radiator is a 120 mm radiator for one 120 mm fan, 60 mm thick, with fins, channels and chambers made from copper. The next thickness up in the same fan size is the Monsta 120mm radiator.

Alphacool introduces the new NexXxos radiators under a name that, as it puts it, stands for experience and quality and has come to bring a fresh breeze to the radiator market. Alphacool states that this radiator can discharge up to 800 W at an ambient temperature of 30 °C with fans at 4000 rpm. Its starting point: every user of a water cooling system needs a radiator, and everyone has different requirements toward the heat exchanger. Of course, Alphacool adds, the customer always demands the best in its class. It says these radiators have come to compete with and to beat the best in their class, and to be the best radiator in all sizes. Alphacool promises no more endless choices without a clear class leader and calls the NexXxos the one tool for all your cooling needs.
Alphacool describes itself as the company that has been the one to introduce new developments and improvements in the radiator and water cooling sector generally, many times over the last years. Following this tradition, it says, these radiators are the first to truly deserve the "Full copper" attribute. All main parts are made from copper: not only the fins and channels, but also the chambers. By Alphacool's account that brings an improvement in performance where other radiators are left without a chance. Alphacool adds that the material already gives an advantage over the competition and that the inner structure is up to par with it. Separated chambers give the coolant a clear direction, allowing the high flow rates which Alphacool says improve the performance of the whole cooling loop. Flat chambers on the heat exchanger give a reduced overall length, and thanks to that they increase mounting flexibility.
Mounting
Versatile and easy mounting is one of the main points on which the research and development department at Alphacool focused. The chamber offers three possibilities for fitting installation on both the inlet and the outlet (not on the NexXos ST30). That way less angled fittings are needed, improving flow rates and offering more mounting possibilities. Hence the radiator can even be installed in tight enclosures, where internal installation is otherwise not a possibility. A G1/4 screw plug allows easy de-aeration of the radiator (on all UT60 and NexXxos Monsta) and hassle-free vertical installation of the heat exchanger. Its threaded opening can even be used for filling, e.g. in combination with a Fillport.
What the loop needs
Alphacool's technical data lists 6x G1/4 connections. A loop uses two of them, so the radiator takes two fittings, and the screw plugs in the box close the openings that stay unused. The radiator holds one 120 mm fan, and the box has four M3x30mm and four M3x35mm hexagon bolts for the M3 fan thread.
Alphacool calls versatility the essence of the new NexXxos series. Alphacool lists different versions to be used with 120mm, 140mm or 180mm fans, available in different thicknesses. In its words the choice of 30mm, 45mm and 60mm offers "the perfect radiator for every purpose". Even mounting and installation of fans and radiator grills is described as easy and versatile with these radiators. The M3 threads are standard in the radiator sector, and Alphacool notes that such screws are available in all lengths at an affordable price. Even the dreaded insertion of a screw too far into the radiator does not result in expensive damage, according to Alphacool. Unlike other radiators, it says, the NexXxos series is equipped with an internal protective ledge which stops the screw before it damages the fins.
Fins and fans
Alphacool calls fin spacing always an important factor in radiator design. By its account the new series has a fin design which allows it to perform extremely well even with slow-spinning and medium-speed fans. Alphacool finds this not only pleasant, thanks to the fact that it avoids unnecessary noise. It also means, the company adds, that the choice of fans that can be used with these radiators is not restricted. Alphacool sums the radiators up as the result of experience and powerful performance meeting future-oriented design and well-thought through solutions.

Notes
- Use only clear, transparent water cooling fluids. Alphacool warns that the particles and additives in pastel liquids can clog and permanently damage water cooling products such as radiators, pumps, coolers and hoses. It adds that this can void the manufacturer's warranty as well.
