The Alphacool NexXxos ST30 Full Copper 280mm Prefilled AIO Edition is a prefilled 280 mm radiator for two 140 mm fans, 30 mm thick, that expands an Alphacool CPU or GPU AIO. Its TPV hoses end in quick release fasteners, so it connects to the corresponding AIO without a loop to fill.

Extending the AIO
Alphacool says all of its AIO systems can be expanded: thanks to powerful pumps, at least one extension can be connected to each AIO. Whether that is a graphics card cooler on a CPU AIO or another radiator on a GPU AIO, there are various possible combinations. Alphacool presents the prefilled radiators as an easy way to expand the cooling capacity of your own system and enjoy higher cooling performance. All you need to do is mount the radiator at the desired position in the case, then connect its quick release fasteners with those of the AIO. Alphacool's summary: it is that simple. No liquid needs to be topped up when you are using the quick disconnects, as only one or two small drips will escape. If you do this many times, a top up would obviously be suggested.
NexXxoS Radiator Foundation
In Alphacool's words, the NexXxoS are "amongst the best-known radiators worldwide". Alphacool relies exclusively on copper for all components that encounter the coolant, so the end chambers, the water channels and the cooling fins are made of copper. Only the ports are brass, chosen due to the higher strength of the thread. With a fin density of 16 FPI the radiator can also work very well with slow rotating fans, while a higher fin density would mean a higher resistance and would need higher RPM. In addition, all fins have so-called "flaps", which provide for a higher air turbulence. That in turn increases the cooling capacity of the radiators.
TPV Tubing
All new AIO systems from Alphacool use TPV hoses, and this radiator carries them too. Alphacool's claim is that TPV is more resistant and kink-proof than all standard PVC hoses. The hoses tolerate working temperatures from -50 to +155 °C and are therefore mainly used for industrial use. They also do not contain any plasticizers that will flush out of the hoses over time. This loss can make PVC hoses hard and porous, and they change their color to a cloudy yellow. Of course, Alphacool adds, that cannot happen with the black TPV hoses. Due to their peculiarities, Alphacool Enterprise Solutions only uses TPV hoses for its server and workstation customers.
Quick Release Fasteners
For easy connection to the AIO systems, the set is equipped with the corresponding quick release fasteners: one side has a male connector, the other a female one. Alphacool states that they are compatible to all of its AIO systems. These safety quick-release fasteners are not simply plugged together but screwed directly together, which prevents a fastener from opening unintentionally. Only 1-2 drops of water are lost when opening one.
Fittings
The TPV fittings, like the TPV hose, come from the Alphacool Enterprise Solution series. Alphacool says they also offer extremely high tensile strength: thanks to the integrated locking ring it is over 15 kg. By its account, the strength of normal connections does not even reach half of this value in most cases.
What the loop needs
The radiator needs an Alphacool AIO with quick release fasteners to connect to. It takes two 140 mm fans on one side, or four with both sides fitted, on an M3 fan thread. Fans are not part of the scope of delivery; matching ones are in our 140mm fans section. The same prefilled radiator is also in stock as a 360mm version.

Notes
- Use only clear, transparent water cooling fluids with it. Alphacool warns that the particles and additives in Pastel liquids can clog and permanently damage radiators, pumps, coolers and hoses, which can also void the manufacturer's warranty.
