NexXxoS Full Copper

Alphacool says it has dominated the market with the NexXxoS Full Copper radiator series for more than a decade, and calls its extensive portfolio of radiator variants unique in the world. Just like the portfolio, it points to its manufacturing process, which allows it to produce all water-carrying parts and the cooling fins out of pure copper. As a result, in Alphacool's words, the series offers the highest thermal conductivity of any radiator on the market. Alphacool adds that, thanks to their exceptional performance, the radiators can easily dissipate even extremely high waste heat and have become essential in many areas of the cooling industry.

The next step in evolution: NexXxoS HPE Full Copper Radiator!

The HPE radiator uses the same materials as previous NexXxos models, but Alphacool takes it a step further technically. Due to a condensed internal structure, the number of water channels and copper fins could be increased. Thus a larger volume of water is in direct contact with the cooling fins, and Alphacool describes the heat transfer as enormously improved. It says the higher number of fin rows and their shortening also makes much more efficient use of the cooling surface.

Alphacool reports comparison tests with the conventional NexXxos radiator that have shown a possible performance increase of 4.5K when using the HPE radiator. At higher ambient temperatures and higher fan speeds, it says the performance gap with the normal radiators even increases progressively, reaching up to 6K. Alphacool gives us no test setup with these two figures for this radiator. Its data sheet adds 1.2x increased water throughput and 20% more efficient heat transfer compared to the NexXxos standard, with 100% of the internal structure made of copper.

Space-saving & flexible to use

This is one of Alphacool's compact slim radiators, with a low overall height of only 20 mm. Alphacool says that lets them be mounted very flexibly in even the tightest cases.

Connection options & mounting

The two ports sit in the pre-chamber area, so the radiator takes two G1/4 fittings, each with a thread no longer than 5 mm. It holds 120 mm fans on M3 threads. All screws for mounting in the case and for mounting the fans are included with the radiator: twelve M3x5 case mounting screws and twelve M3x30 fan screws. Additional screws are not usually required.

Safety first

Special protective plates are placed under all mounting holes of the radiator. They prevent the screws from being screwed in too deeply, which protects the cooling fins and water channels underneath from damage.

• Use only clear, transparent water cooling fluids. Alphacool warns that the particles and additives in pastel liquids can clog and permanently damage radiators, pumps, coolers and hoses, which can void the manufacturer's warranty.
