Details
The Alphacool Laing DDC310 - Complete Edition Eisdecke - Acetal is a DDC pump combo: a Laing DDC310 pump in a brass housing finished in black nickel, and the Eisdecke V.2 acetal pump top. The top has five G1/4 connections and the set measures 89 x 85 x 75 mm. The same set with the plexi top is the Complete Edition Eisdecke Plexi.

Low Noise Edition
Alphacool calls this its new Low Noise Edition of the Laing DDC, "for absolute silence", and is now offering it as a more silent pump combo. A lot of power has been saved to deal with noise: with a slight decrease in wattage you get excellent acoustic output. Alphacool says hardly any other pump can compete with this one in noise generation. In its view this should be the first choice for the most common water cooling system, where the CPU and GPU are watercooled.
Brass housing
A brass housing replaces that of the standard plastic DDC pump, and Alphacool promises a longer life of the pump from it. Cooling fins on the assembly help direct heat away from the pump circuit board. Heat transfer is further aided by a thermal pad between the two surfaces, which Alphacool describes as internal and sitting on the pump board.
Eisdecke pump top
The included V.2 top offers the possibility of three connections for the inlet and two for the outlet. Alphacool describes its Eisdecke Laing DDC top as proven and offers it in acrylic or, as here, in acetal.
- Inlet locations: front, side, top
- Outlet locations: front, top
Decoupling and mounting
Another feature is the decoupling option in the box. Its rubber damped M4 screws can be used to reduce vibration transfer to the computer case, further reducing noise. The preassembled bracket allows the set to be mounted directly to the bottom of your case.
What the loop needs
The top has five ports and a loop uses two of them, one inlet and one outlet, so the pump takes two G1/4 fittings. Three stop fittings are in the box to plug the unused locations. Power comes from a 4 pin Molex plug, and a 3 pin Molex plug carries the speed signal.

Notes
- Alphacool rates the pump as not suitable for continuous use with liquids containing titanium dioxide or glycerin, additives that many pastel colors typically use.
- Use only clear, transparent water cooling fluids. Alphacool warns that the particles and additives in pastel liquids can clog and permanently damage radiators, pumps, coolers and hoses, which can void the manufacturer's warranty.
