The Alphacool Ice Thermal Pad - 17W/mK 120x20x1mm - 2 Pieces is a self-adhesive thermal pad rated at 17 W/mK, a 120 x 20 mm strip 1 mm thick, two pieces per pack. Alphacool names the 120x20mm format as suitable for a RAM cooler.

A layer of ice
Alphacool describes the pad as its ultimate solution to cool your computer with a layer of ice: not frozen water but what it calls a sensational new thermal pad. Its own name for it is "Alphacool Eisschicht". With up to 17 W/mK, Alphacool says, the pads surpass all previously-seen thermal pads and pastes.
Where it is used
The Eisschicht offers all the benefits and features of a typical thermal pad: it is elastic, adaptable, and more. It can be used in many applications, on RAM and motherboard coolers or on graphics cards and CPU coolers. Alphacool's line is that you are well advised with it wherever board meets heatsink, so now practically all hardware components can be easily and cleanly covered with ice.
Power levels, thickness and cutting
The pads are available in different power levels, 11, 14 and 17 W/mK, each in 0.5 mm, 1 mm and 1.5 mm thickness. The three thicknesses are there to be able to compensate for differences in height, perfectly in Alphacool's word. Likewise, any thickness is again available in 100x100mm and in 120x20mm. These can be cut with scissors to separate the right size, so each component is individually configured.
What the job needs
