The Alphacool HF Quick Release Connector With Bulkhead G1/4 Inner Thread - Plastic - Black is a quick-release coupling set made of black nylon. It has a G1/4 inner thread on both sides, and a pack holds one set.

How it locks
Alphacool says its new quick-release coupling sets have been newly developed for safety reasons, to offer extra security. For this reason the two halves do not use a "click" mechanism but are bolted together with a type of union nut. The couplings can no longer be accidentally unlocked.
Flow
Alphacool says that installing these couplings will affect the flow rate of your loop only slightly or not at all. When unlocking, both sides of the coupling are sealed completely.
What a loop needs
They have a 1/4 inch internal thread on both sides, so your choice of fitting can be used: each half takes one G1/4 fitting for your tube size. Other couplings are in our quick disconnect fittings section.

Notes
- Use only clear, transparent water cooling fluids. Alphacool warns that the particles and additives in pastel liquids can clog and permanently damage radiators, pumps, coolers and hoses, which can void the manufacturer's warranty.
