The Alphacool HardTube 16/13mm 60cm - 4 Pack - Plexi is a pack of 4 clear acrylic (PMMA) hard tubes for water cooling, 16 mm outer and 13 mm inner diameter. Each tube is 60 cm long, 240 cm in all. Attention: it is not compatible with Monsoon fittings.

Why hard tube

Alphacool's announcement for this range reads: the HardTube project becomes a reality, and Alphacool takes a completely new way and clearly sets an example. The method most commonly used previously for water cooling systems is normal PVC hoses, and Alphacool now offers another approach to designing a loop. It says the HardTube again brings more tidiness into the system, which makes a much more structured impression.

Bending and cutting

With the appropriate bending tool you can adapt the plexi tube to the system without needing to use additional angles. To install the tubes, they must be sawn to the correct length.

What a run needs

A run takes two fittings, one at each end, from our 16mm OD hard tube fittings. Alphacool says the brand new tubes and its HT connectors make installation very simple, and that they connect completely sealed together. Note: due to the made-to-fit pipes, the connections must be plugged on straight with a little effort.

Other sizes

The following options are available from Alphacool: HardTube 13/10mm Acrylic Clear and HardTube 16/13mm Acrylic Clear, each in 20cm, 40cm, 60cm and 80cm, also available in a pack of 4. Its scope of delivery for this one is a single item, the 4pcs set.

Notes

• Notice: Alphacool recommended distilled water for correct operation of the water cooling.
• Use only clear, transparent water cooling fluids. Alphacool warns that the particles and additives in pastel liquids can clog and permanently damage radiators, pumps, coolers and hoses, which can void the manufacturer's warranty.
