The Alphacool G1/4 Check Valve - Black is a check valve with a G1/4 inner thread for a water cooling loop, one valve per pack. It keeps the coolant from running backwards, and Alphacool calls it ideal for numerous applications.

What it is for
Say two pumps are operating in one loop, for example. When one of them fails, this new valve prevents backflow through the stopped pump, which would otherwise keep water from reaching the coolers. The second use is at the pump outlet: integrated into the loop directly behind the pump, the valve also eases filling and de-aeration (venting).
What the loop needs
Fittings screw into the valve, so choose them from our fittings section to match your tube size. Alphacool states that the valve reduces the flow by approx. 15%, and gives its switching pressure as 0.025 bar.
Notes
- Use only clear, transparent water cooling fluids. Alphacool warns that the particles and additives in pastel liquids can clog and permanently damage radiators, pumps, coolers and hoses, which can void the manufacturer's warranty.
