The function of this connector
The bulkhead fitting guides a hose through a housing using two connections. Its lock nut screws it firmly to the panel, and the 1/4 inch internal thread can then be fitted with standard hose connections. Alphacool gives a length of 16 mm, a width of max. 24 mm and a hole size of 20 mm.
Finish and colors
Alphacool says its fittings go new ways in looks, quality of manufacturing, colors and choice, and that the inner diameter truly deserves the "high flow" attribute. Chrome, Deep Black and Shiny Copper are the first three colors, which the maker says offer something for every taste. The matching product series are designed to look elegant in every system while highlighting the individual design of the computer. Alphacool adds that the limits are endless in combination with its own tubing. A new process during chromatising (chromating) leaves the surface finish completely connected with the brass body, hence ensuring permanent intense colors and no peeling of the chrome layer. The Alphacool name sits in blue lettering on some of the fittings, which additionally underlines the individuality of these items.
What a run needs
A pass-through takes one bulkhead connector and two fittings with a G1/4 thread, one screwed in from each side of the panel. Note: 21 mm mounting holes size.
Notes
- Use only clear, transparent water cooling fluids. Alphacool warns that the particles and additives in pastel liquids can clog and permanently damage radiators, pumps, coolers and hoses, which can void the manufacturer's warranty.
Alphacool's 3D model of this connector is an STP file, and the 3D viewer shows it from every side.
