Details
The Alphacool ES Copper/Carbon water cooler with backplate was specially developed for the Alphacool Enterprise Series. The positioning of the connections significantly simplifies the tubing of the cooler in the server rack. The cooler top is made of carbon and makes the water cooler lighter compared to Alphacool's ice blocks with acetal or acrylic tops. Thanks to the compact design, the cooler only needs 1 slot in the server rack instead of the previous 1.5 slots, which offers additional space savings and makes the use of the ES Copper/Carbon GPU water cooler even more attractive.
More Efficient!
Alphacool has managed to position the cooler as close as possible to the components to be cooled. For this purpose, the thermal pads used were reduced to a thickness of 1mm. Since the water flow within the reduced-thickness copper block has been optimized, all important components such as the GPU, the voltage converters and the VRAMs are cooled much more effectively.
Chrome-Plated Copper
The radiator is made entirely of chrome-plated copper. Chrome plating is harder than nickel plating and therefore more resistant to acids, scratches and damage. Chrome plating also looks more homogeneous and offers a shine that cannot be achieved with nickel plating. Chrome-plated coolers have so far only been used in the industrial sector, where extreme loads act on the cooler.
Connections On The Back?
In order to save space when installing in width and height, inputs and outputs were positioned on the back of the cooling block. This connection position facilitates the connection of the GPU cooler to the water circuit and enables easy tubing even in narrow server housings.
Copper or Aluminum?
Alphacool only uses copper or high-quality plastics for all water-carrying parts. Copper has almost twice the thermal conductivity of aluminum, making it a better choice for water cooling.
Thermal Compound & Thermal Pads
The included thermal compound is Alphacool's Subzero with a thermal conductivity of 16 W/mK. The non-conductive Thermal Grease is particularly suitable for high contact pressures and can be processed perfectly thanks to its viscosity of 850,000 TF. Alphacool uses soft thermal pads that adapt perfectly to the components to be cooled and are very durable. The 2mm and 3mm thick pads have a thermal conductivity of 3 W/mK. The 1mm thick pads can even dissipate 7 W/mK of heat.
Discreet Appearance
The matte carbon finish gives the cooler an elegant appearance. This makes it interesting for private users who want to do without aRGB lighting.
