The Alphacool ES Chiller 1000 110-120V / 60hz is a compressor cooling system (a water chiller) with an integrated pump, a built-in 2 liter reservoir and G1/4 inner threads on inlet and outlet. Its maximum cooling capacity is given as 1000 watts, and it runs on 110-120V at 60 Hz. A rack-mounted version is the ES Chiller 1000 ServerRack 5HE.

What it is for
With that capacity the chiller is described as the perfect choice for cooling servers and workstation systems. Equipped with its own pump, it takes on the task of circulating and cooling the coolant, ensuring that the desired temperature is maintained.
All in One
A display on the ES Chiller can be used to configure various settings, including temperature control in precise 0.3 °C increments. The reservoir inside holds a capacity of 2 liters. Thanks to the pump, with a maximum delivery head of up to 10m, the chiller can be integrated directly into the cooling loop. An extra pump is not necessary.
For the sake of additional protection, the chiller has over current protection for the compressor and an alarm that warns if the flow rate is too low or the temperature is too high.
The ES Chiller 1000 is a stationary appliance with a carrying handle, making for easy transportation.
What the loop needs
The G1/4 connections are compatible with the common connections for water cooling systems. Inlet and outlet are one port each, so the chiller takes two G1/4 fittings.
Performance calculation
The cooling capacity changes with three factors: the water outlet temperature (Fw), the ambient temperature (Fa) and the percentage of glycol in the coolant (Fg). Each table below gives the factor for one of them.
Formula: 1.08kW * Fw * Fa * Fg
Example: A chiller delivers 1.08kW cooling capacity. Water outlet temperature (Fw) is 30 °C, Ambient temperature (Fa) is 40 °C and Percentage of glycol (Fg) is 30 %.
Calculation: 1.08kW * 1.64 * 0.87 * 0.91 = 1.4kW
