The Alphacool ES 4U - 19" - ServerRack - Watercooling Ready is a 4U server rack case for water cooling, with a mounting frame for one 3x120mm radiator and its 120 mm fans. It takes mainboards from Mini-ITX to EE-ATX and up to eight PCIe cards. The case comes without I/O panel, and the fans are optionally available.

Water cooling for 2400W waste heat
Alphacool says the ServerRack has been specifically optimized to accommodate water cooling sets that can dissipate up to 2400W of waste heat. For that much heat to be dissipated, the enclosure needs an appropriate water cooling system. For this purpose it offers a mounting frame for a maximum of one 3x120mm full copper radiator of the Alphacool NexXxoS series. The frame for the radiator and fans can be moved within the enclosure, so you can suit any set-up. According to Alphacool, its ES 120 mm fans with PWM control ensure optimum cooling performance.
Alphacool also offers special water cooling sets for this case. They can be individually configured and are delivered to the customer pre-filled. An overview of all compatible sets for this enclosure can be found on the manufacturer's website, www.alphacool.com.
Drives
The 4U server rack has mounting options for six 5.25" drives, on the left and right side of the front. Six mounting positions for 2.5" drives are located in the upper area in the front. In the middle, three 3.5" drives can be mounted, or an expansion tank including pump in their place.
Mainboard
For mounting an SSI-EBB mainboard, the case has all the usual screw connection options in the classic ATX format. This includes all mounting holes for Mini-ITX to EE-ATX, and there is space for up to eight PCIe cards. Pay attention to the height of the CPU cooler: Alphacool notes a maximum of 140mm. The manual lists 2 ATX power supplies or 1x Hot Plug power supply.
What the case needs
For the missing I/O panel, please note that Alphacool offers a separate set of I/O panel and cable harness under item number 25054. A radiator, fans, a pump and a reservoir are not in the scope of delivery. The technical data lists a hose passage of 4 x 20 mm, and the manual shows external water cooling through Alphacool's HF bulkhead connector, short version, G1/4.
Size and weight
The length is 736.85 mm (29.01 Inch), the width 478.50 mm (18.84 Inch) and the height 177.8 mm (7.00 Inch), which is the 4HE (4U) form factor. The weight of 17.22 kg is 37.96 lbs.
