The Alphacool ES 1 1U is a CPU water block in the 1U form factor for server and workstation systems, for AMD AM4 and AM5 and Intel LGA 1700 and 1851. Alphacool designed this CPU water cooler for the requirements of server cooling, as an adapted version of the Core 1.

Fit
The box holds one bracket set for AMD and one for INTEL, each with four threaded bolts, plus four screw sleeves and four EVA washers. The backplate is only required for the INTEL socket. The manual has the bolts tightened by hand only. It does not name LGA 1851 separately: the compatibility list on Alphacool's page and data sheet has it next to LGA 1700.
Optimized for server projects
Thanks to the side connections and the flat design, the ES 1 can be installed in small systems with little space, and therefore easily in 1 U server cases. Alphacool describes the cooler as particularly space-saving. The new mounting system and the use of acetal for the housing help to minimize both the assembly effort and the costs for large quantities.
Reliable cooling
Alphacool says it combines the best of two worlds with this block. The 3D Jetplate, which it calls innovative, works in combination with the proven cross-slot technology, which ensures that the coolant is distributed evenly across the base of the cooler. Inside, an O-ring ensures a precise flow of water and thus, in Alphacool's words, guarantees reliable cooling. This tried and tested technology is also used in the Core 1.
What the loop needs
The block has two G1/4 threads, cut into the acetal top. Both take the compression fittings for your tube size, which are not in the box. The loop also needs a pump and a radiator.

Notes
- Alphacool asks that the block be used only with clear transparent water cooling fluids. It warns that the particles and additives in Pastel liquids can clog and permanently damage radiators, pumps, coolers and hoses, and that this can void the manufacturer's warranty.
