What is the advantage of EPDM?
This hose is part of Alphacool's Enterprise Solutions series. Alphacool says it is characterized by its high resistance to acids, alkalis and external influences, and has exceptional longevity compared to conventional PVC tubes. Next to commercially available PVC tubing, Alphacool rates it significantly more temperature resistant, a tube that enables working temperatures far above 100 °C. Even at higher water temperatures it remains dimensionally stable, which prevents warping at points with tighter bending radii or at connections. By Alphacool's account the risk of the water loop leaking, or of the water flow being obstructed, is thus eliminated. The same resistance is what makes the tube extremely durable and long-lasting, Alphacool says.
Look
The matte black surface gives the hose a discreet velvet look. Alphacool expects it will quickly become an eye-catcher in any water-cooled PC.
Mounting
The tube is slightly more dimensionally stable than a PVC one. Nevertheless, Alphacool credits it with an excellent pliability as well as the flexibility for an effortless assembly, tighter bends included.
Fittings
It can be used with all tube fittings in the appropriate size from the Alphacool Eiszapfen or HF series. A run takes two 13/10 compression fittings, one at each end.
