The Alphacool Eiszapfen Y-Connector 45° Rotatable G1/4 Outer Thread to 2x G1/4 Inner Thread - Deep Black is a Y-fitting for water cooling that turns one G1/4 port into two. It has one rotatable G1/4 outer thread on one side and two G1/4 inner threads, set at 45°, on the other side, with one connector per pack.

Model
Alphacool's model line reads: Y-connector 45°, G1/4 rotatable, 2x inner and 1x outer thread. According to Alphacool, the 1/4" outer thread on one side makes this fitting compatible with 95% of components. Since the other side has two 1/4" inner threads, it can thereby also be used as an adapter.
The Eiszapfen series
Alphacool calls its Eiszapfen connector series the high-end execution of these tried-and-true fittings. It says everything you want in a compression fitting is here: highflow, form, processing and color. In Alphacool's telling, a refusal to compromise in development and production has made the series into what it is. The fittings are available in brilliant chrome or a deep, matte black, which Alphacool says will fit excellently into any system.
The outer coating is bound firmly to the surface by a special procedure. Alphacool says this binds it well enough to keep improving the longevity of the intense color while preventing any chipping or peeling of the coating. Every connector now has the Alphacool logo, which along with their distinctive shape is meant to make them unmistakable.
What a run needs
The outer thread screws into a G1/4 port. Each inner thread then takes a G1/4 fitting for your tube size from our fittings, or a plug. Neither is in the pack.
Technical Specifications
Alphacool lists two technical specifications for this connector: brass as the material and deep black as the color.
Notes
- Alphacool's note on application: use the connector only in conjunction with clear, transparent water cooling fluids. It warns that the particles and additives in pastel liquids can clog and permanently damage water cooling products such as radiators, pumps, coolers and hoses.
