The Alphacool Eiszapfen 16mm HardTube Compression Fitting 90° Rotatable G1/4 - Knurled - Deep Black is a 90° compression fitting with a G1/4 thread for 16 mm hard tube, one fitting per pack. Alphacool lists it as a screw-on nozzle for acrylic and brass tubes.

Model: 90° compression fitting 16mm

The fitting has a 1/4" thread on one side, and Alphacool says it is thereby compatible with 95% of components. The other side fits a 16mm acrylic or brass tube. In the middle the body is bent 90° to avoid complicated hose connections, and the threaded side is rotatable for maximum flexibility.

The Eiszapfen connector series

Alphacool calls its Eiszapfen connector series the high-end execution of these tried-and-true fittings. It says everything you want in a compression fitting is here: highflow, form, processing and color. By its account, a refusal to compromise in development and production has made the series into what it is. Fittings are available in brilliant chrome or a deep, matte black, this one being the black, and Alphacool says both will fit excellently into any system.

Alphacool says a special procedure binds the outer coating firmly to the surface, improving the longevity of the intense color and preventing any chipping or peeling of the coating. Every connector now has the Alphacool logo, which along with their distinctive shape makes them unmistakable, in Alphacool's words.

How it holds the tube

The union nut's slanted corners allow the O-ring to be pressed firmly against the HardTube, ensuring, as Alphacool puts it, that it sits even more securely than before. Alphacool says this allows for greater safety in transport.

What a run needs

The thread screws into any G1/4 port, and the other side takes tube from our 16mm hard tubing section. A tube run takes two fittings, one at each end.

Technical Specifications

The material is brass and the color is deep black. Its dimensions are 45 mm in length and 29 mm in width.

Notes

• Use only clear, transparent water cooling fluids. Alphacool warns that the particles and additives in pastel liquids can clog and permanently damage water cooling products, which can void the manufacturer's warranty.
