The Alphacool Eiszapfen 13mm HardTube Compression Fitting 45° Rotatable G1/4 - Knurled - Deep Black is a 45° angled compression fitting with a rotatable G1/4 thread for 13 mm hard tube, one fitting per pack. Alphacool's own name for the model is the 45° screw-on nozzle 13mm.

The Eiszapfen series
Eiszapfen is the connector series that Alphacool describes as the high-end execution of these tried-and-true fittings. By its account everything you want in a compression fitting is here: highflow, form, processing and color. Alphacool puts that down to a refusal to compromise in development and production, which it says has made the series into what it is. The fittings are available in brilliant chrome or a deep, matte black, and Alphacool says either will fit excellently into any system. This is the black one, and the Technical Specifications give its material as brass.
Coating and logo
A special procedure binds the outer coating firmly to the surface. Alphacool says that is improving the longevity of the intense color and preventing any chipping or peeling of the coating. Every connector now has the Alphacool logo, which along with their distinctive shape makes them unmistakable, in Alphacool's words.
How it holds the tube
The union nut's corners are slanted. They allow the O-ring to be pressed firmly against the HardTube, ensuring it sits even more securely than before. Alphacool says this allows for greater safety in transport.
What a run needs
There is a 1/4" thread on one side, and Alphacool says the fitting is thereby compatible with 95% of components. The other side fits a 13 mm acrylic or brass tube. In the middle the fitting is bent 45° to avoid complicated hose connections, and the threaded side is rotatable for maximum flexibility. Notes
- Use only clear, transparent water cooling fluids. Alphacool warns that the particles and additives in pastel liquids can clog and permanently damage radiators, pumps, coolers and hoses, which can void the manufacturer's warranty.
