This black Alphacool Eisfluegel is a visual flow indicator with G1/4 inner threads, 69.5 x 41 x 17 mm, one indicator per pack. Its connection is for all G1/4 connections, so hoses or hard tubes go on through fittings. The Eisfluegel for hoses of 6-11 mm inside diameter is a different part, 88 x 40 x 15 mm, which we stock in blue and red.

What it shows
Alphacool calls the Eisflügel, the ice wing, a flow indicator with added value and a real eye-catcher next to neatly laid hoses or hard tubes. With the loop operating, the rotation of the impeller always shows the direction of flow, so a turning impeller is a good sign that the coolant is moving. In your loop this indicator is an elegant visual check and a nice aesthetic touch. Designed for silent operation, the impeller will not add any unwanted sound to a rig built for peace and quiet.
Technical specifications
According to the manufacturer the indicator takes a pressure load of up to 2 bar at most, so it is pressure resistant up to that value.
What the loop needs
Keep in mind that the threads are inner threads: each port takes a G1/4 fitting to match your tube, and the pack holds the indicator alone.
Notes
- Use only clear, transparent water cooling fluids. Alphacool warns that the particles and additives in pastel liquids can clog and permanently damage radiators, pumps, coolers and hoses, which can void the manufacturer's warranty.
