The Alphacool Eisbaer Aurora (Solo) - Digital RGB is the pump and cooler unit of the Eisbaer Aurora AIO liquid cooler on its own, without radiator, tubes and fans. It fits AMD AM4, AM5, TR4 and sTRX4 and Intel LGA 1200, 1700, 1851, 2011, 2011-3 and 2066, plus the older sockets listed under Properties. To build your own AIO water cooling system around it you still need a radiator, fans, hose, two fittings and liquid.

Fit
The manual shows brackets and screws for LGA 2066, LGA 115x, LGA 1200, LGA 1700/1851 and AM4 / AM5, plus one backplate. On LGA 115x, 1200, 1700 and 1851 the backplate is fixed to the back of the mainboard with its tape. The manual has no mounting page for TR4 or sTRX4. A separate TR4/SP3 mounting bracket for Eisbaer is in stock here.
Before mounting, remove the protective film on the cooler plate. Spread a pea-sized blob of the included thermal paste into an even, thin layer, and tighten the screws hand-tight only, without tools.
Build your own loop
Alongside the different prefilled Eisbaer Aurora CPU AIO watercoolers that can be used "Out of the Box", the core of that cooler is also available as this solo version. We stock the prefilled Eisbaer Aurora 240 too. With the solo unit you decide how you want to build your water cooling loop and which parts you want to use for it. By using the industry standard G1/4 ports, it takes all fittings from the water cooling sector. This gives you the ability to choose the hose thickness, color, style and liquid freely. In Alphacool's words, it gives you full control.
Pump and cooler
The basis of the pump is the Alphacool DC-LT 2 Ceramic pump, which is also available separately. Alphacool says it is powerful enough to operate a circuit consisting of a radiator, a CPU block and a graphics card water cooler. Alphacool also calls it incredibly quiet, almost inaudible.
The cold plate is made of nickel-plated copper, which Alphacool says offers excellent heat transfer. Due to the fine fin structure of the cooler bottom and the optimized water flow, Alphacool rates the cooling performance as comparable to the best DIY water coolers on the market. Its claim is that no compromises have been made in terms of performance in favor of other features.
Design and lighting
The unit is equipped with addressable digital RGB LEDs. The housing is decorated with a polar bear, through which the LEDs shine. Due to the extensive control possibilities of Digital RGB LEDs, numerous effects can be displayed.
How to connect everything
The unit has two G1/4 ports, IN and OUT, so it takes two fittings. The manual accepts all connections with a max. diameter of 18 mm. The fill port can be used for refilling if necessary.
The pump is powered from a 3-pin connector on the mainboard. On a 3-pin fan connector, the manual says to set the voltage to 12V in the BIOS. The aRGB LEDs can be connected to any 3-pin 5V connector and controlled easily. The included Digital-RGB adapter also plugs into a digital RGB controller such as the Alphacool Aurora Eiscontrol, which is not included.

Notes
- Alphacool's note on application: use only clear, transparent water cooling fluids. The particles and additives in Pastel liquids can clog and permanently damage water cooling products such as radiators, pumps, coolers and hoses, which can also void the manufacturer's warranty.
