The Alphacool Eisbaer 200 CPU - Black is an AIO liquid cooler with a 200 mm full copper radiator for AMD sockets from AM2 to AM5 and Intel sockets from LGA 1150 to LGA 2066. There are NO fans included in delivery: to operate it, at least one 200 mm fan is required. Unlike a sealed AIO, it is modularly built, refillable and expandable through a quick-lock closure on one of the hoses. The Eisbaer is also here with a 240 mm radiator.

Fit
Compatibility Intel and Compatibility AMD follow Alphacool's current list for this cooler, given in full above. The scope of delivery holds one AMD bracket set and one Intel bracket set with the mounting material. Alphacool's manual shows the mounting steps for LGA 115x, 1200, 1700 and 2066 and for AM4 / AM5 only. On LGA 115x, 1200 and 1700 it has an Intel backplate fixed to the back of the mainboard with tape.
Thermal paste is in the box. The manual has you clean the CPU, apply a pea-sized blob and spread it with a plastic strip into an even, thin layer under 0.5 mm. Remove the protective film on the cooler plate first, and tighten the screws hand-tight only, without tools.
An AIO built from water cooling parts
With the "Eisbaer", Alphacool says it is fundamentally revolutionizing the AIO cooler market. Its argument: where traditional AIO CPU-coolers are disposable products, neither upgradeable nor refillable, this one can be upgraded, rebuilt or refilled at any time. This means that it is not only an AIO, but also fully built on classic water cooling components. That means it is quieter and more powerful than the average AIO solution, according to Alphacool.
Radiator
Alphacool depends on a radiator made of pure copper. Its base is the NexXxoS series, which Alphacool calls popular and well-loved around the world. Alphacool says the pure copper construction raises the cooling performance enormously compared to the usual aluminum radiators used in classic AIOs. The slight thickness of the fins ensures enormous cooling power in fans with low rotational speed, it adds. This ensures that the performance when adjusting the fans down decreases much more slowly than in radiators with higher fin thickness.
Hoses
The flexible PVC hoses make installing the cooler easy, because they are easier to arrange and move into the right position. So the hoses don't bend and stop the flow of the water, both have been fitted with anti-kink springs. Their size is 11/8 mm, which is also a standard in the water cooling field, alongside the 13/10 and 16/10. The hose length is approximately 40 cm.
Quick-lock closure
The cooler was designed with expandability directly in mind. This is why you'll find the closure on one of the hoses. Its quick-lock mechanism is compatible with Alphacool HF quick-lock closures (1010383, 1010394, 1010395, 1010442). We stock two of those numbers: the HF Quick Release Connector Kit G1/4 Inner Thread and the kit with bulkhead. With them the circuit can easily be expanded to include anything from a radiator to a graphics card cooler. Furthermore, Alphacool's text names the then upcoming Alphacool GPX-Pro graphics card AIO as compatible, which will use identical closures.
Connectors
All connectors are based on the classic G1/4 inch thread, the standard thread in the water cooling field. This way, all attachments can be switched out for others any time as desired. For example, you could later decide to switch to thicker hoses or even HardTubes and set your system uniquely apart. The manual accepts all connections with a maximum diameter of 18 mm on IN and OUT.
All these features make the cooler into something extraordinary, in Alphacool's view. It has an illuminated logo and an illuminated reservoir, which also contains the pump. Alphacool says this enhanced appearance lets the interior of your PC shine in a whole new way. It calls the soft-touch surface of the pump case a further visual highlight.
Pumps
The basis of the pumps is the Alphacool DC-LT 2 Ceramic, also available separately. Alphacool says the pump runs extremely quietly. It can be regulated to between 6 and 13.5V, through the motherboard too. If the cooler is being run alone, the 6V setting will still have next to no performance loss, as shown in diverse test results that Alphacool cites. The insulated pump case further perfects the noise generation and ensures that vibrations are almost completely absorbed, in its words. The technical details of the pump are in the table below.
The copper base of the cooler is polished smooth and shiny. Alphacool says this ensures optimal heat absorption. The base can then relay the heat over the fine slit structure of the cooler to the water quickly and efficiently. Alphacool sums up: with this cooler you get an all-around perfect product that is not only extremely high-powered but also works very quietly.
Installation
Alphacool calls the installation simple and flexible. A matching radiator cover is already included in the package and supports mounting with M3 screws. This allows the radiator to be installed securely and conveniently in the case and easily integrated into existing systems.
How to connect everything
Out of the box the cooler needs no fittings. To extend the loop, open it at the quick-lock closure. Refill it through the fill port on the reservoir, which the manual closes with a screw plug and the enclosed tool. The pump has a 3-pin connector. Plug it into a free fan connector on your mainboard, which also activates the logo lighting.

Notes
- Alphacool's note on application: please use only in conjunction with clear transparent water cooling fluids. It warns that the particles and additives in Pastel liquids can clog and permanently damage water cooling products such as radiators, pumps, coolers and hoses. This can also void the manufacturer's warranty.
