The Alphacool D-RAM Cooler X4 Universal - Plexi Black Nickel is a RAM water block that cools four RAM modules in parallel through two G1/4 ports. This cooling block is screwed onto the optional cooling modules, or onto an existing heatspreader with a hole spacing of 110 mm (like the Corsair Dominator).

Sizes and finish
With the new D-RAM coolers, Alphacool says, all desired memory chips can be cooled, whatever the memory module. The copper base is black nickel plated, and the lid comes as a black or a transparent cover with lighting capabilities. Alphacool says that makes the RAM cooler adaptable for each individual system. The range is distinguished by three different sizes, available in versions for 2, 4 or 6 RAM modules next to each other, which can all be cooled in parallel.
Flow
Due to its special technology, according to Alphacool, the cooler can be used at the optimal level in both high-flow systems as well as in systems with lower flow.
What the loop needs
The cooler has two G1/4 ports, so it takes two fittings. RAM without a 110 mm heatspreader goes into the Alphacool D-RAM Module first. It is sold separately in packs of two, so four sticks take two packs. That module does not fit every kind of RAM, so check its page before ordering.
Notes
- Use only clear, transparent water cooling fluids. Alphacool warns that the particles and additives in pastel liquids can clog and permanently damage radiators, pumps, coolers and hoses, which can void the manufacturer's warranty.
