The Alphacool Core Geforce RTX 5080/5070Ti GamingPro with Backplate is a GPU water block for five Palit GamingPro graphics cards with the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 or RTX 5070 Ti chip. The Palit GeForce RTX 5080 GamingPro OC and the RTX 5070 Ti GamingPro are two of them. A chrome-plated copper block under an acrylic top cools the card, and the aluminum backplate is in the box.

The block was built for one PCB layout, and a card maker may revise its board so that the cooler no longer fits later models. Before ordering, compare your card and its part number with the pictures in Alphacool's GPU configurator, or find it in the Compatibility List for Nvidia cards.
Copper block and terminal
At the center of the cooler is the copper cooler itself, milled from a single piece. It is complemented by a precisely machined brass connection terminal with a nylon cover. Alphacool says the chrome plating makes the copper cooler more durable and ensures a smoother and brighter surface than conventional nickel plating. The series continues to rely on high-quality brass connectors, which Alphacool says guarantee optimal quality and safety.
Design and lighting
Alphacool presents this block among the new graphics card water coolers for the latest Nvidia Geforce RTX generation, all of them part of the Core product series. The visual design has been changed only slightly. Its special highlight is the newly added Core emblem above the jet plate, which underlines the affiliation with the series and visually enhances the design. The specially adapted backplate, 3 mm thick without its spacers, covers the entire back of the copper cooler and ensures a clear, uniform appearance. Combined with the aRGB lighting, the acrylic enables uniform and impressive illumination of the entire cooler.
Flow and testing
Technically, Alphacool says, the GPU water cooler has been completely redesigned. The gaps between the cooler and the PCB components were redefined and tested to optimize cooling performance. The water flow was simulated first, using what Alphacool calls state-of-the-art software, and then verified in practical tests. Those extensive tests enabled improvements to the cooler base and the nozzle, which Alphacool calls the jetplate, to ensure the best possible cooling performance. Alphacool's claim for the series is that these GPU coolers combine the highest quality with exceptional performance. It adds that, thanks to an optimized technical design, they offer outstanding cooling performance.
What the loop needs
The block has four G1/4 threads. Two of these connections take the compression fittings for your tube size, which are not in the box, and the other two take the two plugs that are. The maximum working temperature is 60 °C, and the block is pressure tested at 0.8 bar. The LEDs run on a voltage of 5V through a 3-Pin JST plug, and an ARGB adapter is included. The manual reuses the card's original IO shield. Thermal pads, thermal grease, a putty tool, a plug tool and a screwdriver complete the box.

Notes
- Alphacool asks that the block be used only with clear transparent water cooling fluids. It warns that the particles and additives in Pastel liquids can clog and permanently damage water cooling products, from the radiator and pump to coolers and hoses. That can also void the manufacturer's warranty.
- Remove the original cooler on an antistatic mat and clean the card of thermal paste and pad residues before fitting the block.
