The Alphacool Core Distro Plate O11 Dynamic Evo/XL with Apex VPP Pump is an acrylic distro plate for the O11 Dynamic Evo, XL and Evo XL cases, with the VPP Apex pump included. Alphacool calls it the visual upgrade for the O11 Dynamic Evo/XL: it is designed for this case and can be mounted on the inner side panel.

Core Design

The chrome-plated, brass G1/4 connectors are a core element of Alphacool's Core Design series. With the Core Distro Plate the ports are recessed, instead of being screwed into a thread as is usually the case. This allows Alphacool to overcome the problem of potential leakage due to cracking, which comes from screwing the connectors directly into the acrylic. Each of the connectors is made of two parts and has an O-ring, and the parts counter each other when mounted in the acrylic. According to Alphacool this not only ensures absolute leak proofing of each connector but also allows for the clean and functional look of the series.

Easy installation

Alphacool says this distro plate can be easily attached to the side panel of an O11 Dynamic Evo/XL case. Installation in other cases is also an option, provided the dimensions are compatible with the plate. For details, please refer to the measurement specifications in the technical data and the dimension drawing in the manual. Please note that the pump protrudes from the back of the plate: it is 41.30 mm deep without pump and mounting, 77.80 mm with them.

High-quality material selection & brilliant illumination

The plate is made of acrylic, which Alphacool describes as high-quality. This allows an unobstructed view of the coolant and enables what Alphacool calls brilliant illumination from the 18 built-in digitally addressable aRGB LEDs. The lighting can be controlled via a digital aRGB header on the mainboard or optionally by Alphacool's Aurora Eiscontrol aRGB controller (item no.: 15360).

The pump

Alphacool's Apex VPP doesn't use a spherical bearing and relies on a ceramic axle instead. The motor's coils have also been moved, from the inside to the outside. Alphacool says these changes have the effect that the pump is fundamentally more stable and smoother running, and that any vibrations that arise have been significantly reduced. Another positive side effect it names is that power consumption has been almost halved as a result.

Control

The 4-pin fan connector of the Apex VPP pump connects to the motherboard or to an external controller. This allows you to control the speed range of the pump via PWM and to read out the RPM signal. The pump is connected to the power supply using a SATA connector, and both cables are 48 cm long.

What the loop needs

The pump is in the box, so no pump has to be bought. Of the eleven openings, nine are G1/4 ports, one is the fill port and one the drain port. Ports you do not use take the four G1/4 plugs in the box, and a plug tool is included for them. The box also holds twelve M3x6mm screws with twelve EVA washers and an ARGB adapter. The manual shows a mounting example with the panel and the configuration options for the ports.

• Alphacool's note on application: please use the plate only in conjunction with clear, transparent water cooling fluids. The particles and additives in pastel liquids can clog and permanently damage water cooling products such as radiators, pumps, coolers and hoses. This can result in voiding the manufacturer's warranty as well.
