The Alphacool Apex Stealth Metal Aurora Fan 2000rpm Matte Black - 140x140x25mm is a matte black 140 mm aRGB fan with a metal frame, a 300 to 2000 RPM range and a 4-Pin PWM connector. It works on a radiator or as a case fan. The same fan also comes in chrome and white.

Alphacool names high-quality, elegant and timeless design combined with technical innovation as the hallmarks of the Apex Stealth metal fan: these are its words. With its patent-pending decoupling technology, robust frame and special rotor, Alphacool is sure this fan will impress. It says the fan is not only one of the most powerful available, but also remains exceptionally quiet at any speed. The fan blades, the motor and its mounting are completely decoupled from the metal frame. A special damping system is integrated between the two, absorbing all vibrations. According to Alphacool this type of decoupling is a completely new system, which it introduced for the first time with the Apex fan. Furthermore, the impeller features a closed frame of its own that prevents impeller tip flutter at high speeds, further enhancing the fan's performance.

Powerful all-rounder

Alphacool calls the fan a true all-rounder that sets new standards in airflow and static pressure. Therefore, in its words, the fan is not only perfect for mounting on radiators but also ensures excellent airflow in a case. The Apex Stealth Power can be controlled between 300 and 2000 RPM via the PWM connector, and the starting speed is approximately 300 RPM. Zero-RPM control is one of the features too, allowing the fan to be brought to a complete standstill.

The Apex product line from Alphacool represents, in the maker's own description, the pinnacle of perfection. First-class materials and innovative technologies are said to guarantee a unique premium product. The frame is curved and lit by aRGB lighting that Alphacool calls brilliant. Alphacool says the combination creates impressive lighting effects and a distinctive design that integrates perfectly into any PC build.

Additional Features

As is typical for Alphacool, multiple fans can be daisy-chained easily, and the cables can be hidden in the corners of the fan, making them invisible. The 50 cm PWM extension cable is included. Alphacool says the 6-pole motor in combination with the sleeve bearing ensures extremely smooth running and high durability.

What the fan needs

For a radiator, the manual says to use the matching screws from the box: the 6-32 UNC screws, the M4 screws or the Stealth mounting nuts. It also shows mounting on a case, connecting fans in series (daisy chain) and connecting the aRGB lighting.
