The Alphacool AlphaTube TPV 16/10 - Black Matte 3.3m (10ft) - Retail Box is soft tubing with a 10 mm inner and 16 mm outer diameter. Each retail box holds one 3.3 m (330 cm) length of matte black TPV. Alphacool notes that its ES TPV 16/10mm Ring Clamping Kit is required for a secure fit.

Product information
Every water cooling system requires either soft or hard tubing to connect the individual components, such as radiators, waterblocks and reservoirs. PVC is usually the material used for soft tubing: it is cheap and has many properties, fantastic ones in Alphacool's words, that make it easy to work with. However, with this tube Alphacool is now bringing a new material from its Enterprise Solutions series across to the everyday user. The tubing is called AlphaTube TPV, and Alphacool describes it as the choice of tubing for industries.
What is the advantage of TPV?
Compared to PVC hoses, the TPV hoses offer various advantages for water cooling. The material is much more resistant to acids and alkalis and also much more temperature resistant: it can withstand operating temperatures up to 155 °C. PVC hoses begin to warp at higher water temperatures. This means the areas with tighter bends will warp, while a TPV hose remains stable in its shape. Alphacool says this eliminates the risk of kinks in the tubing and the restriction of flow that comes with them.
How is AlphaTube TPV installed?
Handling it is just as simple as any other soft tubing, and it is as easy to install as a PVC hose. It is slightly stiffer than PVC, but only very slightly.
What is special about a TPV hose?
The tube is characterized by its high resistance to acids, bases and external influences. In addition, Alphacool says the hose has an extraordinary longevity that far surpasses that of PVC hoses. The matte black finish also offers a discreet velvet look, which Alphacool calls an eye-catcher in every water-cooled PC.

A tube run takes two fittings, one at each end, from our 16/10 compression fittings, plus the ring clamps named above.

Notes
- Alphacool's note on application: use the tube only with clear, transparent water cooling fluids. The particles and additives in pastel liquids can clog and permanently damage radiators, pumps, coolers and hoses.
