The HEATKILLER RAD series
The HEATKILLER RAD series is Watercool's line of mesh radiators. It comes in two strengths: the Small (S) RADs are 30 mm thick and the Large (L) RADs 48 mm, so this 120-L is the thick one. Watercool also points to an optimized performance, compact dimensions and high-quality workmanship. The same L series with room for two fans is the HEATKILLER RAD 240-L, in black or white.
Finishing and quality control in Germany
Watercool says that, in cooperation with a well-known manufacturer from Asia, it has succeeded in creating a high-performance mesh radiator with a unique look. Those cooling cores are manufactured strictly in accordance with Watercool's specifications. The radiator housing, on the other hand, is produced directly on Watercool's premises in Waren, which means the assembly and quality control are ultimately performed in Germany.
High cooling performance over the entire speed range
Watercool's goal of the development was to produce competitive radiators with a wide performance range. The HEATKILLER RAD accordingly provides a very good cooling performance with slow rotating fans, and that performance scales very well with increasing speed. For maximum cooling performance it can of course also be used in push/pull mode, with a fan on each side.
The best raw materials in use
Watercool uses only high quality raw materials as basis for the HEATKILLER RAD. The pre-chamber and the cooling channels are made of brass, while the cooling fins are made of copper. The side panels are laser-cut from 1 mm thick steel plates or stainless steel and subsequently brushed or powder-coated in black or white, depending on the finish. On this Stainless Steel version they are brushed stainless steel. The front sides are brushed stainless steel and significantly contribute to the exclusive look.
Easy integration into the cooling circuit
The integration into the cooling circuit is done through two standard G1/4 inch threads. The required connections are not included in the scope of delivery, so pick two fittings for your tube. A small width of only 120 mm ensures a maximum of flexibility in where it goes, and it takes 120 mm fans.

Notes
- Fan screws may not reach deeper than 5 mm into the radiator; longer screws might damage the pipes. Watercool's mounting material lists M3x30 and M3x5 screws, 4 per fan.
- The side panels can be removed for maintenance. Watercool names the tools you will have to use for assembly and maintenance: a Phillips PH0 and a Torx TX8.
- Watercool recommends demineralized or deionized (distilled) water with a suitable corrosion inhibitor as coolant.
