Thermal Grizzly's DeltaMate G1/4" Drain Valve Fitting in Matt Nickel is a drain valve with a G1/4-inch thread, for emptying a custom loop through soft tubing with a 10 mm inner diameter. The same valve comes in black and gloss nickel.

General information
DeltaMate fittings are the water cooling connectors Thermal Grizzly designed for the individual components of a custom water cooling loop. As is expected from Thermal Grizzly quality, the valve is precisely machined from brass. Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc. It offers the advantage of being anodically compatible with other metals while being harder and more corrosion-resistant than copper. The sealing rings (O-rings) are made from durable EPDM (ethylene propylene diene rubber), which is highly elastic and resistant to ozone and UV radiation. The matt nickel finish the fittings are coated with is there for an elegant look.
How the valve works
A spring-loaded internal valve gives automatic sealing, featuring leak-free operation whenever no connector is plugged in. Included with the drain valve are two push-fit barb connectors, compatible with any tubing that has an inner diameter of 10 mm. The integrated 10-mm barb of a push-fit connector enables clean, controlled drainage using standard soft tubes. Thermal Grizzly describes a modular plug-in system (plug system) with an optional anti-reflux design for backflow prevention, which allows for flexible hose and loop configurations. The flat, low-profile brass body is machined for durability and tight-space compatibility, which enables use in tight spaces.
Fit and draining
The robust design of the DeltaMate fittings allows for secure installation using an 8 mm hex key on the hex interface, and the valve includes a protective cap. All DeltaMate fittings share a uniform outer diameter, which ensures seamless integration of the individual components.
Important notes
- The maximum thread depth is 4.50mm!
- Do not vacuum pressure test the valve.
- It is only compatible with soft tubing of 10 mm inner diameter.
- To drain, fully insert the push-in connector.
- When removing the connector, support the hose at the valve to prevent damage to the system.
