Internal Audio Cables
The front panel HD Audio header cable is usually the shortest lead in the case, and in a full tower with a bottom mounted board it is frequently the one that will not reach.

Check the header type before ordering. HD Audio and the older AC97 use the same 9 pin plug shape but are not the same standard, and a modern board expects HD Audio.
