Details
The Aquacomputer SPLITTY9 Splitter is a universal ninefold splitter: one fan output feeds up to nine 3-pin fans or 4-pin PWM fans, or one aquabus connector of an aquaero feeds up to nine aquabus devices. Power and the PWM signal (if available) come from the fan output it is connected to.
Properties
- Connectors
- 9 black outputs, 1 white "input"
- Use
- Fan splitter (3-pin or 4-pin PWM) or aquabus splitter, set by jumper
- Cable
- 4-pin, total length 70 cm
- Maximum current
- 5 A
- Dimensions
- approx. 60 x 28 x 15 mm
As a fan splitter
Using it with a fan output, the white connector marked with the word "input" is connected to that output with the supplied cable. All nine black connectors are then provided with the power supply and, if available, the PWM signal. The speed signal received from the connector marked "rpm" is additionally forwarded to the fan output. In this mode the jumper must not be in the "aquabus" position.
As an aquabus splitter
For aquabus, the same white input goes to the aquabus connector of an aquaero, again with the included cable. Setting the jumper to the "aquabus" position forwards all four aquabus signal lines to all black connectors. Both 4-pin and 3-pin aquabus devices can be used on it.
What you need to connect it
The splitter needs a fan output, such as a channel of the QUADRO fan controller, or for aquabus an aquaero like the aquaero 6 LT. A self-adhesive hook-and-loop strip is part of the scope of delivery for easy installation; alternatively, four mounting holes can be used. If PWM fans need their own power supply from a SATA connector and an amplified signal, the SPLITTY9 ACTIVE (53283) is the active version.
Notes
- Do not exceed the splitter's maximum current rating of 5 A.
- When connecting multiple fans, observe the maximum rating of the fan output as well.
