Aquacomputer G1/4 Pressure Equalization Membrane - High Version (53138)

The Aquacomputer G1/4 Pressure Equalization Membrane - High Version (53138) is a pressure equalization membrane for top-side mounting in a reservoir, screwed into a G1/4 top port. Its 6 mm hexagon is tall enough for recessed threads, such as the ports of aqualis reservoirs.

What it does

Pressure changes in a running loop are caused by temperature variations. Gases can pass through the membrane, and with this exchange between the cooling loop and the surrounding air the internal pressure is equalized continuously with the ambient pressure. The membrane permits that flow of gas while preventing coolant from escaping through the port.

How to install it

When the membrane is installed, it must always be positioned in direct contact with the air bubble of the reservoir. Its place is a free G1/4 port on top of one of our reservoirs.
