The Aquacomputer Dr. Drop Pressure Tester includes Air Pump (34087) is a leak tester for water cooling. It puts a test pressure of up to 0.6 bar on your entire loop or on single components, read on a large manometer. The tester has a G1/4 inner thread, to be equipped with the hose fitting for your tube (hose fitting and hose are not included in delivery).

How the tester works
Aquacomputer calls Dr. Drop an ingeniously simple tool. The test pressure is applied with the included air pump, and the 63 mm manometer allows for precise readings. A second valve lets you adjust the pressure for easy testing over prolonged periods of time, and it can discharge the pressure after testing is done.
Test procedure
- Connect the tester to the part or system; draining all components first is advisable.
- Pump to approx. 0.55 bar through the valve connector, then set exactly 0.5 bar with the discharge valve. Tapping the manometer lightly with a finger increases accuracy.
- Remove the air pump from the pressure tester.
- Wait at least 15 minutes for single components, at least one hour for a complete cooling system.
- Tap and read again: the manometer must still show exactly 0.5 bar, with no change.
- Release the air with the discharge valve.
To hunt a leak, hold 0.5 bar and coat the part with water or soap solution: bubbles show where it leaks.
Added bonus for bicyclists
The air pump fits car tire valves (Schrader) as well as French (Sclaverand) valves, so it also does bike tires. A pump holder is included as well, with a hole pattern like a bottle holder.
What a test needs
Pick one G1/4 hose fitting compatible to your preferred hose diameter from our fittings section. If you already own a pump, the same tester is also sold as the Dr. Drop Pressure Tester (Without Air Pump) (34088).
