The Aquacomputer Aquastream XT to Aquastream ULTIMATE Upgrade Kit is a replacement controller that can be used to convert an existing aquastream XT pump (41059, 41060, 41061) to an aquastream ULTIMATE pump. It is not compatible with other pump models or brands.

What the upgrade gives you
After the upgrading, all aquastream ULTIMATE features are available. Compared to pumps shipped as an aquastream ULTIMATE from factory, there are no functional limitations. The "virtual flow sensor" and "advanced controller package" software extensions run as a trial for testing purposes, temporarily activated during the first 48 hours of operation. Both optional features can then be purchased separately as a permanent software extension.
How the kit goes on
A small flat head screwdriver releases the clips of the yellow rear cover from the slide tracks, and the cover comes off the pump housing with the controller board. Detach the two pin temperature sensor connector first. Cut the pump motor power leads approx. 10 cm (4 in) from the housing and strip the last 5 mm (3/16 in) of each. Each lead goes into one cable clamp of the new board while you press down its release tab with a small screwdriver or a ball point pen. The temperature sensor connector goes onto the board's pins, and neither connection has a polarity to respect. The red controller cover then pushes gently onto the rear of the housing and locks into the slide tracks. Setup follows the manual of the aquastream ULTIMATE pump.
Compatibility
Aquacomputer lists the kit as compatible with these pumps only:
- aquastream XT, Aqua Computer part numbers 41059, 41060 and 41061
Please note that only original aquastream XT pumps made by Aqua Computer can take the kit. Eheim 1046 pumps (230 V or 110 V) and any other 230 V or 12 V pump cannot. Very old aquastream pumps (non-XT, aquastream 3.5 for example) must also have the pump impeller replaced by a modified one (no. 41065), and they need a USB cable. Please contact Aqua Computer customer service if necessary.
aquasuite software
Activating this product gives you the current aquasuite version with an upgrade service for at least eighteen (18) months. Afterward, you may keep using and reinstalling the latest version from that period with no time limit. The update service can optionally be extended or renewed at any time for a fee, and installation and activation need an internet connection.
