The Aquacomputer Aqualis Kit Fill Level Sensor for aqualis PRO 450/880 is an upgrade set that contains all parts needed to equip a reservoir of the aqualis PRO series with an electronic fill level sensor. The sensor connects by USB or 4-pin aquabus.

What the sensor does
Besides its interfaces, the electronic fill level sensor features a programmable alarm output and an external temperature sensor input, and both fill level and temperature can be configured to raise an alarm. On a fan connector with fault detection (for example motherboard fan headers), the alarm output can be configured to be used as an rpm signal. As a switched output it can, for example, connect a LED.
Fitting the kit
With top, glass tube and stainless steel cover removed, a 3 mm hole is drilled to a depth of exactly 44 mm, measured from the upper edge of the acrylic window. A special gasket goes into it, and the pressure sensor board, held by one M3 x 5 mm screw, sits in the receptacle in the bottom part. The engraved stainless steel cover closes the bottom side, and the pressure equalization membrane replaces one sealing screw in the top cover.
What you need to connect it
The internal USB connection cable in the box goes to an internal USB header. In addition to the USB interface, the sensor can be connected directly over aquabus to an aquaero 5/6 controller such as the aquaero 6 LT, which is not part of the scope of delivery. The external temperature sensor input is compatible with all Aqua Computer temperature sensors, for example our G1/4 temperature sensors.
aquasuite software
For monitoring and configuration, the aquasuite software can be downloaded free of charge. Activating this product gives you the current version with an upgrade service for at least six (6) months, and the latest version from that period stays usable with no time limit. The service can be extended or renewed for a fee, and installation and activation need an internet connection.

- Please note: if used together with the fountain effect, an aqualis replacement top with four connection threads (not included in delivery) is required to install the pressure equalization membrane. See our replacement tops and end caps.
