Quick Overview

The Aqualis DDC Borosilicate reservoirs are some of the highest quality, most integrated reservoirs we carry. With simple pump top and pump attachments, the Aqualis series is the first, truly modular watercooling system. Aqualis reservoirs with pumps and pump tops are available for both standard D5 and DDC configurations.

Details

The Aquacomputer Aqualis DDC 100 mL Reservoir is a 100 ml tube reservoir that mounts directly on a Laing DDC pump (not included), with G1/4 connection threads.

Properties

Pump
Laing DDC, mounted directly
Capacity
approx. 100 ml
Tube
Borosilicate glass, 50 mm outer diameter, 5 mm wall thickness
Base and top
Delrin

Borosilicate glass tube

Every aqualis series reservoir is equipped with a borosilicate glass tube. In contrast to the acrylic glass (Plexiglas) commonly used for the tubes of an expansion tank, Aquacomputer says borosilicate glass has a very high hardness and scratch resistance. It also has excellent chemical and thermal resistance and a very low thermal expansion. Bases and covers are made from Delrin, and lid and base are connected by a stainless steel rod.

Mounted on the DDC pump

The aqualis DDC 100/150 ml variants are designed for direct mounting of a Laing DDC pump at the base part. Four rubber decouplers (art. no. 41092, the Ultra Soft Pump Decoupling Kit) fit into the rear of the base part. Alternatively, the two mounting protrusions of the pump body hold pump and reservoir in the case.

Of the pump, only the housing with the electronic components, the impeller and the gasket are needed, so its four-screw top section comes off. The gasket goes into the groove of the housing, the motor into the pump receptacle, and the M4 x 16 mm screws secure it, hand-tight. Return line and suction line both go to the threads in the base.

Nano coating

All 100 ml and 150 ml versions are also available with a nano coating, allowing water to pearl off the inside of the glass tube. In this size, the version which has it is the Aqualis DDC 100 mL Reservoir with nano coating (34076). The Aqualis DDC 150 mL Reservoir (34077) is the larger size.

Technical details

Dimensions without pump approx. 62 x 62 x 132 mm
Dimensions with pump (not included in delivery) approx. 88 x 62 x 147 mm
Filling volume approx. 100 ml
Connection threads G1/4
Recess around connection threads of the base part diameter 26 mm, depth 3.5 mm
Recess around connection threads of the lid diameter 23 mm, depth 3 mm

Notes

  • Connectors wider than a recess need suitable extensions, not included in delivery.
  • Fittings, pump and rubber decouplers are not included; order fittings separately.
  • The top unscrews counter-clockwise to free the glass tube. Keep the gaskets aligned in their grooves and refit the top by hand with moderate force.

In the box

  • One reservoir
  • Two G1/4 sealing screws (preinstalled)
  • Four screws to attach the pump to the reservoir

The installation manual shows the pump fitting and taking the reservoir apart.
