Borosilicate glass tube and Delrin
Like every expansion tank of the Aqualis series, this one is equipped with a tube made of borosilicate glass. Plexiglas tubes are commonly used for an expansion tank; borosilicate glass, in contrast, has a very high hardness and scratch resistance, very low thermal expansion and excellent chemical and thermal resistance. Here the glass tube has an outer diameter of 75 mm with a wall thickness of 5 mm, where the 100 ml and 150 ml variants use 50 mm. Bases and covers of the series are made of Delrin, and lid and base are connected by a stainless steel tube.
Illumination
Up to two optional illumination modules, for example art. no. 34920 (not included in delivery), screw into the two G1/4 threads in the base part.
What the loop needs
The Aqualis BASE series is made for attachment on an Aquacomputer pump adapter, which allows for maximum modularity: you can use the reservoir through numerous builds. It needs a compatible Aqua Computer pump adapter and the pump that adapter holds, and fittings of the G1/4 type from our fittings section. Other models are under Aqualis BASE reservoirs.
